Penne Arrabbiata

4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 t. dried basil
1 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. crushed red pepper
1/2 t. sea salt
1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper
1 28-ounce can organic crushed tomatoes with basil
1 T. raw sugar or date syrup
1 lb. whole wheat penne noodles, cooked according to package directions

In a saucepan, cook minced garlic in a small amount of the crushed tomatoes for about 1 minute over medium heat. Add all other ingredients and simmer (covered) for about 15-20 minutes. Serve over whole grain pasta with vegan parmesan cheese and sides of green veggies.
