Homemade Hazelnut Non-Dairy Sugar-Free Almond Creamer

1 cup whole, raw almonds, soaked in water for 8 hours
2 1/2-3 cups of filtered water
4-6 Medjool dates, pitted
1/2 t of hazelnut extract (I got mine from Beanilla.com)
Cotton Nut Milk Bag

NOTE: If you like your creamer thicker, use less water. If you like your creamer sweeter, use more dates.

Rinse almonds and place in a high-speed blender, with the filtered water, dates, and extract. Blend at highest speed for 3 minutes. Pour the mixture through the nut milk bag (with the seams of the bag on the outside!!!) into a bowl or large Mason jar, squeezing until all of the creamer has released. Discard or compost the almond "meat." Refrigerate creamer and use within 3 days.

Coffee(less) Frappuccino

When I wasn't eating as healthy, I loved to get a Coffee Frappuccino at Starbucks from time to time. I FINALLY came up with a winner homemade version! It's thick and creamy and cold, just like the Starbucks version, but WAY better for you.

This recipe is made with TEECINO. It's a delicious acid-free, no caffeine coffee-like beverage. I used the Dandelion Caramel Nut in this drink. You could also use the Vanilla Nut or Hazelnut flavors.

1 bag of Teecino, steeped in 1/2 cup of boiling water then cooled in the freezer for about 5 minutes
1/2 cup cashew milk
1-2 pitted Medjool dates
1 T. chia seeds
1 1/2 cup ice cubes

Add the cooled Teecino, cashew milk, dates and chia seeds to the blender and blend for at least 1 full minute (until everything is pulverized). Then, add the ice cubes and blend until thick and frozen.
